Well... I finally back to update my blog, kinda lazy hehe ya like always. i even forget my my blog address = =", quite stupid to say that but seriously i have forgotten my blog after the spm. Why? dun ask.. u should know if u read the last post, well yes i played games everyday after the spm test and i played 3 different mmorpg game during these 3 months, the first was granado espada, follow by shaiya and ro. The life after spm was fun, i finally released "the giant rock from my tired hards", one word to describe the feeling is "Relief". After walking out from the spm classroom, omg..... i asked myself.... Do i actually finish the SPM? well YES! i finally came to the end of the terrifying spm examination. WooHOoo~! Holycow~ Erm... Well dun get me wrong, i juz feel joyful when come to a flashback of end of spm :D. Spm was ended but my secondary school life ended there too. Now i started to miss my secondary life, aw~ everyday go to school at 7.00, sleep in car before reaching the school, meet some schoolmates in the morning and talking craps when the teacher is teaching. Hehe... well such a memories but is already over now, is time face the truth that i finally finished my 17 year old, but obviously my habit wont change so fast and still game as my hobbi, juz some lost of friends. My friends and me started to become less talking to each after they started their college life, usually i juz recieve some sms or phonecalls from them but not a conversation of face to face. Some of them get more mature after they enter the college, some plan to change themself when they become a college student. they all seaching for their career now and stadying in different courses, when come to talking is a bit different now. Fortunetaly, we still have some gethering but separated in different groups, so is like the college group, the haven't starated college group and the girls group. LOL complicated huh? but this really happened in our gathering in The Curve, sad huh?? nevermind.... even these things happened but we r still friends right? Date march 12, i recieved my result of the Spm examination, normally my result in the secondary school was like fruit, "Apple", "Banana" , "Carrot" and sometime "Guava" = =" hehee.....but my spm result having both "good" and "bad" news. The good news is i didnt fail my "BM" ><" and got 2 A , the bad news is i cant get A for my account... i only got B, sad case... my tuition teacher wanted me to get An "A" for it but i only got it B. After recieving my result, my friend asked me to tell my result to my tuition teacher but i..... dun dare to call him...... haiz... At the end i called my friend to tell him my result, until now i havent get any feedback from my tuition teacher, oh well. After the Spm result the next step is to enter college, i choose "The One Adecemy" for my future achievement of study. Why do i choose this college? hmm... serious i like drawing and i dun doing paperwork, i like to imagine and illustrate things. Final sentence to explain it is, i like arts ><". But to enter this college that easy, the college application want you draw 3 things, a portrait(pencil drawing) , landscap(colour drawing) , free composition(colour drawing). After one week of hardwork I finally finished it all, i will post it on this blog but in the next post^^V lol, okey is time to stop >.< getting lazy again :P well... later~

You too can be creative; it just takes hard work

Feb. 2, 2006 -- Do you desire to be a more creative person but don't think you have the "creative" gene? You may have some hard work ahead, but it's possible to become the next Walt Disney or Martha Stewart, says an expert on creativity at Washington University in St. Louis.

"No one is born highly creative," says R. Keith Sawyer, Ph.D., associate professor of education and of psychology, both in Arts & Sciences. "Psychologists studying creativity have discovered that it is based on cognitive processes we all share. Creativity is not the result of some magic brain region that some people have and others don't."

Creativity is not some magical trait, says creativity expert R. Keith Sawyer, Ph.D. "You have to work hard to be a more creative person. You have to be diligent."
Oxford Press has just released Sawyer's latest book, "Explaining Creativity: The Science of Human Innovation," a seminal overview of the history of creativity and of research into traits that highly creative people all share.

Designed as a textbook for his Washington University course Psychology of Creativity, "Explaining Creativity" is a general overview of the science of creativity for anyone who wants to know more about it. In the book, Sawyer outlines some of the myths that many of us hold about creative people.

Dispelling the myths

"When people say they aren't creative, it's because of some false ideas about creativity that we hold as a society," Sawyer says. "One myth is that if you're a creative person it's a trait and everything you touch turns to gold. That's not the way creativity works. It's not some magical trait. You have to work hard to be a more creative person. You have to be diligent," he says.

It's also a myth that creative people "have pierced body parts and tattoos and they sleep at odd hours and maybe they are not socially smooth or skilled — maybe they are loners."

Actually, when researchers study creative people, Sawyer says, they find that most of them are normal, happy and healthy. Most aren't depressed or alcoholics or schizophrenic.

"Another myth about creativity that many people in our society believe is that there is a link between mental illness and creativity," Sawyer says.

"Hollywood loves this myth. Oftentimes, the role of a highly creative person in a movie is portrayed by a character who is also mentally ill. There certainly are examples of creative people who do have mental illness, like the author Sylvia Plath. But she even said she was a better writer when she wasn't depressed. She wanted to get rid of her mental illness and didn't think it helped her be more creative."

Sawyer says that many people have a vision of highly creative people as "lone geniuses." "In reality," says Sawyer, "creative people network with other people. A lot of creativity happens through collaboration. Much of my own research focuses on the relationship between collaboration and creativity.

"In today's technological society, many of the more important or popular creative products are made by large organizations," he adds. "For example, PlayStation® video games are created by a team of more than 100 people."

Sawyer insists that to be creative, one has to have organizational structure and collaboration.

"If you are a loner in a room somewhere doing your own thing, you aren't going to be employed very long," Sawyer says. "Video games are just one example. Think of any major creative organization. Increasingly over the past 20 to 50 years, the important kinds of creativity and innovation have involved large groups of people."

Any Hollywood movie has a large staff, "as you always see in the credits," Sawyer says. "Of course, all the fame goes to the director, the actors, and sometimes the writer or the cinematographer; but unless you're really into movies, you probably don't know that many movies have multiple directors and producers, and most scripts include contributions by as many as 10 different writers. And then there are almost a 100 other creative experts who contribute to the final product."

A computer software application like the Microsoft Windows® operating system is never created by a single individual, Sawyer adds. "There's a large staff, grouped into a complex organizational arrangement, and each programmer and designer makes an essential creative contribution."

Conventional thinking

But the myth of the lone genius still persists because many people, when they think of the stereotypical creative-type person, they think of the ultimate lone genius — the poet. "People see poets as being very solitary and yet very creative. Many people think all a poet needs is a pencil and some paper and he or she never has to talk to anyone. People tend to view painters the same way. They think all the artist needs is a canvas and paint and he or she doesn't require social interaction."

However, Sawyer says, research shows that even writers and painters are very social and creative and they spend a lot of time interacting with other people. "They have to get ideas from somewhere," he adds.

Another myth about creativity held by many is that creativity is the opposite of convention and constraint. "Many people think the best way to be creative is to break all the rules. Anytime you are constrained or limited, that will get in the way of creativity. That's just not true. In fact, creativity could not happen in the absence of convention."

An example of this is something as basic as musical creativity.

"All music, at least in the West, is based on 12 tones and has certain rhythmic patterns," Sawyer explains. "There are structures to songs and a finite number of instruments are available. Those are all conventions for creating music. You wouldn't say that a composer is not creative because he composed a tune in the 12-tone scale. We don't insist that every composer make up a whole new scale. We don't insist that every composer invent his own instruments.

"Music wouldn't exist without this complicated set of conventions that we often don't even think of as conventional. Musicians never get frustrated because they only have 12 notes in the scale. Writers don't get upset because they only have 26 letters to use."

Creativity in everyday life

Many people don't realize they're being creative by just carrying on a conversation.

"Everyday conversation is a great example of creativity that everyone does on a daily basis," Sawyer says. "I wrote a book in 2001 called "Creating Conversations" that focused on my study of a Chicago improvisational theatre group. I found that what improvisational groups do on stage mirrors what people do in good conversations.

"There's a lot of give and take and everyone is listening to everyone else," Sawyer explains. "You hear what your partner says and really absorb that and build on it. So a good conversation is truly collaborative and emerges from what everyone is doing together."

He thinks a lot of people are good conversationalists. "You don't have to be Van Gogh or Picasso or Einstein to use good creative conversation skills.

"We just don't think of conversation as being creative because a lot of people do it, we use it every day and it doesn't seem to require any special abilities. When we have a conversation, we don't feel like we're being creative, but we are. It's hard to realize because conversation happens so fast. The creativity is somewhat hidden."

Work hard and work smart

So what's the secret to becoming more creative?

"You can't be creative without knowing a lot about what you are trying to be creative in," Sawyer says. "You can't just decide to be creative in something. Really creative people spend a lot of time in preparation.

"For example, it takes a long time to become a good jazz musician. It's not something you do on your first try. If you try to sit in with a band before you're ready, you'll get booed off in a hurry. It's like that with nearly every creative domain."

If you want to be creative, Sawyer says, spend a lot of time learning about the subject and what others have done before. "Network and find out who else is working in the area. A lot of good creativity comes from collaboration. Creativity takes a lot of time and hard work."

Sawyer thinks much of the difference between highly creative people and the rest of us is hard work and work habits.

"Creative people work hard but they also work smart," Sawyer adds. "There is a certain way they structure their work habits. They structure their day so they alternate between hard work and time off. Researchers call it idle time.

A common pattern for creative people is to work hard in the morning and then take some time away during lunch to take a walk or garden or ride a bike. A lot of creative people have their great ideas when they take time away from their work. Idle time allows them to think of their problems in new ways. People talk about the 'aha' moment emerging when you are doing something else."

Creative people also tend to have multiple related long-term projects going on at the same time. "When they are working on one thing and they get stuck, they shift to another project. That creates potential for unexpected connections between the projects."

Creative people also take breaks to do something radically different from their current project. "They might read a book, play a board game or take a walk. These are times where distant analogies can happen — meaning something on the board game might provide an idea regarding the current project. Something in a book might connect two ideas together. A walk might allow for viewing of new concepts."

When Sawyer talks to corporations about creativity, he always emphasizes the importance of making employees take all of their vacation time.

"Many people don't take their vacation and they end up rolling over all of their off time. If I were a senior manager, I would make everyone take all of their vacation time," Sawyer says. "Time away from work is essential for recharging the batteries, so to speak, and to help people think more creatively on the job. People need freedom in their schedule for idle time."

'Seeing the burr in the dog's fur'

Sawyer says that the brain processes we use for creativity are based on the same building blocks that we all use everyday, like brushing your teeth or taking a shower or fixing breakfast.

"The story of the man who invented Velcro is a good example," Sawyer says. "He was taking a walk with his dog and the dog got a burr stuck in his fur. The guy examined a burr under a magnifying glass and noticed the little hooks. He had the idea that a string of similar tiny hooks could be used as a clothing fastener, replacing the zipper. There's more to it, but that's the basic idea.

"We all have ability to see the burr in the dog's fur," Sawyer explains, "but the more creative person is able to make the connections more easily. Creative people are able to gain insight by forming an analogy between two things that seem really dissimilar."

Hi, is me again. I feel a powerful feeling in my body now, this feeling is like i want to improve my myself! Who gave me this feeling to me? My sister. Why? I will tell you. in the day of 2-1-2008, 12am, i was insulted by my sister. She insulted me useless, i'm nothing....... After that, i felt very upset....... so..... upset and cry for an hour....... after the cry, i felt like she's right..... i'm weak..... but even she insulted me, i felt like i have no reason to hate her. Because these word really make me awake. Before all this happenned, i already felt like very lazy to face the year 2008. But now i felt so awake, those words really gave a me temperlaly thought to work harder. I wish this can last longer.......

Another New Year, Another Dream, Another Thinking and Another Lost

Well.. We have to say good bye our dear 2007, after the final second of 2007 people will say "HAPPY NEW YEAR" but for me...i feel like i'm getting nearer to reality. A new year, it means a fact that everyone is getting elder, everyone carry their dream toward the future, everyone will change their way of thinking to improve themself. But some of them will feel like something is changing, friends are leaving. Why are friend leaving? Some of them will leave to achieve their future and some of them leave to work. There is no reason we can stop ur friend doing that, even have to support them to achieve their future and obviously is good for them. We can only face the sadness to leave them, the only sentance we can say before they leave us is "Good luck my friend, I wish u can achieve your future". Friends are working is good for them because they are earn money, think again. When they are working, you will find that is getting harder and harder to invite your friend for a cup of tea, because they are busy of working, there is not time for it. This remind of my past daxueyuan leader. After some years later, we might lost contact with them forever. I'm scared, i afraid. Somedays later, i might face this cruel feeling, maybe i have some childish thinking but i never want friends leaving from me in time to time. Even i say that to myself but I will never stop the running of time. Think back to time, everytime we laught together, everytime suffer together and everytime face problem together. These things we never get to buy for it and we can never reverse the time to feel it again, we can only feel it once and turn into memories. So everyone, appreciate every single moment with your friend, be nice to them and share your heart with them. Show your true love to them, show them that you love them. For me, I think friends as my precious diamond, how about you? :') Wish EVERYONE HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I LOVE YOU MY FRIENDS!!!

Back From China!! A Wonderful Trip!!!!

Hey Guys!!! Sry for waiting, finally i have a story to u. Hehe.... of coz is all about the trip of china!!! Well,the trip was wonderful. when i reach at kunming, i felt cold when i step out the plane. Not only the feel of freezing temperature, even the sunlight stronger than malaysia's. O.o" i juz felt cold and hot because i haven't acquire to weather.

Oo.. i almost forgot my neigbours, this trip i was went with my neigbours and one of a daxueyuan member "ngiam ngiam". This never be fun without them. One thing is very improtant, we went to kunming also have another intention to find a friend in china. This is the pic we took together....

In the journey of the trip many things have happened, especilly This in pic.

This "Thing" almost blocked the road to lejiang.
Well.. actually in this trip i have learned a lot things about china, i have learned about the history and ppl. China is a very beautiful place!!!

Finally!! The Camp of 爱我青年 is ended... People are hurt...but at the end we got a good result, 80++ people joined ur camp. At the camp, even daxueyuan suffer from pressure and pain.... DaXueYuan..... One sentance..... "WE Love You All!!!, Thank You"... Wat i think is, No matter how much DaXueYuan suffer, how tired they are, only one sentance from the campers can remove the scar from DaXueYuan. .......I dunno wat to write but even this short sentance already can express the feeling of them... T.T AW!! Sooo tired le and i hurt my back... ouch~~ X.X Hmm better dun talk about me i'm not that good in the camp^^ hehe~~ of coz i really wan to consult from a friend, he's name is "Mango". Even he's younger than me but he's really can do better than me, he's care about everyone of urs. He help us up when we are bc, lol i so admire him. :p And one more person i wanna consult, she a girl and she also younger than me too. But i will never forget one word she said " 那个 air Con 会漏水de " LOL hehe but the campers really listen to her and off the air conditional.

2007....What a busy year...everyday full of projects and presentation, i'm getting felt out of thase things...ZZzz.But i have a feeling that i have learned to be more concentrate in my studies, hehe well.. i think this is a good news for this year.:P This year i've tried to be braver to talk to others and the result is i have turned to a very talkative guy, maybe i have to say bye bye~ to my lonelyness soon!^^ At school, my teacher has repeated many many many....... time that FORM 4 is not A HONEYMOON YEAR!!! lol... Hey^^ I danced like a cowboy!! LOLz~ 2006 Dec the group of daxueyuan and me were danced on a huge stage. This is a cowboy dance and we really acted like a cowboy on stage to let people to enjoy watching us dancing. There was about 1000 people were watching us, we were so proud that we got encore from them. xD Actually, this dance took about 2 mouth to pratice our steps and this dance was tough by a leng zai teacher^^", he was kind and friendly. He told us this dance wasn't that easy to learn, there's many steps and movement that we need to remember and he wanted us to be the best of best. Every satuarday night, we have to go to zongsing for pratising. B4 that, the teacher would teach us to warm up our body, he told us that "The purpose of warm up is to relax our muscles and it also make some good effect to the dance ". After the warm up, we starting to practise the dance. Dancing was enjoyable and it was fun too, the teacher took it very serious when practising the dance, better don't play around when he was teaching. We practised over and over again, until we reached our limit than we ressed. We ended the pratise at 10.00pm everynight, i always get very very tired when it ended X.X". Finally, after so many days of hardworking and now we have shown the result to our teacher. The teacher was happy to see such a good result from us, but after the dance...xD we turned to some waiter or waitress serving them food and drinks! Oh No!! My image! lol juz kidding! haha :D

The school has started.. im 16 this year and this is my worst year ever, i pushed to death by pressure in only 3 days schooling. Everything is different from the age of 16, Things are getting difficult and more complicated! The first day of schooling, u dun even know which class are u going to and this is only the first day! The school gave me this kind of experience. 3 days later, the students including me finally knew our classes.We found something was wrong in this timetable when we copied it. Suddenly, A teacher came to us and said additional math has been canceled in our class and They changed to P.seni. WAT THE HELL!! there was about 3/4 students in the class were taking this subject! Finally, the teacher said they will decide later. Wat do u think? im juz creating pressure to harm myself?...Crap huh? -_-"

You will never believe teenages can even organizes such a huge event that inviting VIP and PIPG!! My friends really did that in reality!! They are only 14,15,16,17,18 years old and they can do such a great organization, can you imagine it? They have done something that u never expacted b4. Such as organization, inviting VIPs and PIPGs, solving problem, creating dance, helping victims from disaster and so on... and everything has shown in the blog of daxueyuan. They juz like the man of steel "SUPERMAN" LOLx~they never get tired even they failed they'll never give up! even there's a exam waiting for them. Their kindness and hardworking have changed my life. I remember last year they done well in the camp of ai wo. Actually, every year FGS will organize a camp "ai wo qing nian" for the teenages to learn and enjoy themself in a different way of their lifestyle.They started to prepare for the camp since 3 mouth b4 it started. October 2006, they started to asked people to join the camp and i was helping them too^^. At the end, there was about 80 teenages were joining the camp and finally the camp started. At the beginning, there was some situation was happened but luckly there were some senior guiding us , at the end the situation was solved. xD. Finally the camp was ended successfully.. Hey u know!! DAxueYuan rockx! ^^V
